Plan Obliques and Isometric drawings

A plan oblique is were the plan of the room is used as the base drawing. The true size of the room is kept and scaled down.

A isometric drawing the objects vertical lines are drawn vertically and the horizontal lines in the width and depth planes are shown to a 30 degree angle. This gives the plan a sense of distortion and can overall look more realistic by the appearance of the shapes.
